The Pursuit of Happiness

One of my biggest favorite movies of all time has always been The Pursuit of HappYness. Why? Because it has always been a great portrayer of the downs and ups of life, told in an unglamorized way.
It's just life, as it is. It is about achieving small victories, plunging back to earth and winning again. Now, life has always been like that. And this movie says it like it's the real deal. You don't get everything you want, everytime. You have to work hard for it.

Now that. That has been by my best motivator. I keep a copy of this movie in my phone, since I'm always on the go. And when I feel like getting lost, confused in the daze of everyday. I watch the Chris in his pursuit of what he calls happiness. When I reach that ending, I always, always revert back to the beginning when he said, "Why can't I be like that?". I ask the same thing. And then I watch the struggle again until that point of victory. And repeat.

Why? You may ask. Because I think life is like that. When you get lost, sometimes it's good to ask yourself why you push forward. Believe me. It gets you back on track. It does for me.

This is why I love this story. It's a story of me. Of you. And of everyone.
